Essential Care for Every Baby (ECEB) and Essential Care for Small Babies (ECSB) Workshop
Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, 2017
Fairmont Waterfront, Mackenzie I
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) in conjunction with the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS) is holding a workshop of the Helping Babies Survive (HBS) curricula. Workshop attendees will be trained in Essential Care for Every Baby (ECEB) and Essential Care for Small Babies (ECSB) which are evidence-based educational training programs to reduce neonatal mortality in resource-limited environments. ECEB teaches health providers essential newborn care practices to keep all babies healthy from the time of birth to discharge from the facility. Building on the skills taught in ECEB, ECSB trains providers on the specialized care that small and preterm babies need to survive and thrive.
Early bird registration for this two day workshop is $250 USD ($299 USD after March 31, 2017), and includes breakfast and lunch both days. Additional equipment purchase required. Workshop attendees are eligible to claim a maximum of 14.0 credit hours as an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) for their participation.
