There is NO printed version of the abstracts. Abstracts are available electronically through the conference app approximately two weeks before the conference. Abstracts will also be available as a supplement in the May issue of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Certificate of Attendance
A Certificate of Attendance is available for all delegates attending the conference. An email will be sent to you following the conference.
The daytime temperature in late May averages around 20°C (70°F), with evenings and overnight temperatures around 8°C (46°F). Check www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/weather/quebec/quebec for current weather updates, and bring layers that you can take on and off easily. A light sweater or coat sometimes comes in handy on cool evenings.
Conference Mobile App
View and search the CPS conference program, access speaker handouts or find information on presenters and exhibitors using the conference mobile app. Available in Apple iOS, Android and HTML5 versions, the app will launch at the beginning of April. Registered attendees will receive an email with a link to download the app once it’s available.
You’ll find a convenient location in Rendezvous CPS, where you can charge your phone or tablet in a comfortable setting.
When registering online, please indicate your dietary restrictions. You will then receive a special meal ticket for functions where food is available; simply show it to your server to obtain a personalized meal. Please note: personal dietary requirements cannot be met without this meal ticket.
The CPS works closely with convention staff to provide safe and delicious meals for all conference participants. However, we cannot guarantee that menu items are free of trace amounts of allergens or other ingredients.
Digital Conference Program / Program at-a-Glance
Print-friendly versions of the digital conference program and program at-a-glance will be available online two weeks prior to the conference, on the conference website.
We encourage you to print off the program at-a-glance or digital conference program and bring it with you to the conference.
The digital conference program includes general information, the conference schedule, room assignments, speakers and a complete exhibitor and poster listing.
Hotel Family Care
To arrange for family care service, contact the concierge at your respective hotel.
Mini Platform Presentations
Mini platform presentations of select abstracts are offered during lunch Wednesday and Thursday, in the exhibit hall. Four posters are pre-selected for quality of research, clinical practice and policy, during a 30-minute session at one of two locations in the Trade Show.
Dress for the Annual Conference is business casual. Consider bringing a light jacket or sweater with you, as meeting room temperatures and personal comfort levels vary.
Your badge will contain a QR (or Quick Response) code where exhibitors can scan and capture your contact information for follow-up sales leads. Providing your QR codes is strictly voluntary and will only capture your name, organization and email address.
Register for Sessions
Be sure to indicate your session preferences when you register. Sessions are seated on a first-come, first-served basis, and knowing in advance which ones are popular helps us to allocate an appropriate meeting room.
Be sure to prioritize your sessions and arrive early to guarantee your seat. Please know every session is set to fire code capacity. Once all seats are full, CPS staff are required to close the session, and no additional attendees may enter until a seat becomes available. Turning away attendees at a popular session is the least-desired task of CPS staff. We often hear, “But this session is the entire reason why I came to the conference!” If that is the case, please plan accordingly and arrive early. No exceptions will be made! This is also why CPS staff cannot allow you to stand in the back of the room, or to use a chair next to you to hold your bags. Make sure to store your belongings under your seat because all seats will fill up. We also encourage you to have a secondary session lined up in the event that your first choice is full.
Not everyone is comfortable near cologne or perfume. Please refrain from wearing scented products.
The CPS tries to ensure that all educational and social events are fully accessible. If you have any special needs or requests, contact the CPS Education Department before the conference at 613-526-9397 ext. 248, or bring them during the conference to the attention of registration desk staff located in Rendezvous CPS.

Wear your badge
ID badges are required for admission to all conference activities. Be sure to pick up your badge when you arrive, at the on-site registration desk in Rendezvous CPS. This year, you’ll have the option of a mobile event check-in using your smartphone or confirmation e-mail. You will still have the option of having conference staff assist you.
Registered delegates can access WiFi in all public spaces and meeting rooms in the Centre des congrès de Québec.
